Our Team

Craig Legal consists of three people who work together closely as a team . We have kept the firm small to maintain a culture consistent with our values and our dedication to excellent client service. Our two attorneys handle every matter directly, from the first conversation through trial and appeal. The lawyer you meet in the early stages of your case is a lawyer who will see it through to the end. Our paralegal works alongside us on every case, which means there is always more than one person who knows your file and who can answer your questions.

James Craig

James has practiced civil litigation in Georgia since 2009, dedicating the majority of his career to real estate litigation. For nearly a decade, he managed the litigation practice at Campbell & Brannon, an Atlanta real estate firm. His extensive caseload encompassed title claims, boundary disputes, quiet title actions, landlord-tenant conflicts, and the complex fraud and breach-of-contract claims that often accompany them. A seasoned trial attorney, James has successfully tried cases before juries, argued motions for directed verdict, and conducted numerous depositions. Beyond the courtroom, he routinely drafts the deeds, easements, and boundary-line agreements necessary to permanently put property disputes to rest once a judicial resolution is reached.

Before concentrating his practice on real estate, James advocated for employees in federal wage, discrimination, and leave disputes. Earlier in his career, he handled commercial and transportation litigation, focusing on high-stakes collections and corporate fraud claims. Prior to entering the legal profession, he spent six years as a business consultant for a major financial services firm. James earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (UC Law SF), where he served as an editor for the UC Law Journal.

He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the federal district courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia. He is also proficient in German.

He also develops and maintains Kosmos, an open-source software project that offers a case-management platform for small firms. Today, the platform serves as the operational core of Craig Legal.

Rebecca Rea Attorney
Rebecca Rea

Rebecca began her career in the legal field at sixteen, when she took a summer job as a legal secretary for two attorneys in her hometown. That experience sparked a deep interest in the law that she has cultivated ever since. She earned her degree in Political Science from North Georgia College and State University (now the University of North Georgia) and her law degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. Along the way, she continued working in the legal field, first as an administrator and then as a paralegal, before becoming an attorney herself.

Rebecca has practiced in many areas of the law, including family law, bankruptcy, corporate mergers and acquisitions, personal injury, commercial and residential real estate, and community association law. Prior to joining Craig Legal, she was a partner and head of the litigation department at a prominent Atlanta personal injury trial firm, where she oversaw and managed the firm's attorneys and litigation staff. Rebecca is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Outside the firm, Rebecca is an avid reader and artist, and she loves to travel, especially to Iceland.

Alexandra Herrington Paralegal
Alexandra Herrington

Lexi is our paralegal and usually the first person you'll talk to at the firm. She joined us after years as a senior paralegal and legal writer in criminal appeals, where she built a strong foundation in rigorous transcript analysis, precise citations, and complex court filings. During her time in appellate work, she developed a deep passion for justice reform, focusing heavily on character applications and analyzing statistical racial disparities in California sentencing.

At Craig Legal, Lexi keeps our practice running smoothly. She manages case intake, e-discovery, and document collection, while meticulously cite-checking and proofing briefs, organizing court exhibits, and tracking key deadlines. She also joins our attorneys in the courtroom to handle logistics and exhibit management so they can focus entirely on the trial.

Before moving into law, Lexi worked in brand promotions and recruiting, which gave her a natural skill for connecting with people. She holds a degree in communication studies from the University of Georgia, where she focused on conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and persuasive messaging, skills that serve her well every day when translating complex legal processes into clear, accessible conversations for our clients.
